Driven by Celebrity Chef Guy Fieri, the Camaro travels the country highlighting casual, off-the-beaten-path eateries for “Diners Drive-Ins and Dives.” The car and its famous driver spent the first part of January in Key West, where Celebrity Chef Guy Fieri discovered what Key Westers have celebrated for years – the food at D.J.’s Clam Shack, Garbo’s Grill, and Bad Boy Burrito. Hammock’s Cafe ($$)

Located onsite at The Inn at Key West, Hammock’s Cafe is a delightful poolside tropical escape that serves breakfast daily. This Island café offers delicious favorites in an elegantly casual al fresco locale. Enjoy the tropical surroundings of flourishing gardens and a sparkling swimming pool as you dine in our lovely little café for breakfast.


Harpoon Harry’s ($)

832 Caroline Street
Harpoon Harry’s is located on Caroline Street and is a favorite for locals and visitors alike. It’s a small breakfast-lunch diner, where the walls are glass doors that open onto the street. Service begins at 6:30 a.m., serving everything from café-con-leche and cuban egg sandwiches to the more traditional breakfast of eggs, bacon, grits, pancakes, and waffles.


Pepe’s Café ($$)
806 Caroline Street
Established in 1909, Pepe’s is the oldest restaurant in Key West, having recently celebrated their 100th anniversary.  They are open every day from 7:30 a.m. – 10:00 p.m. and are located on the old commercial waterfront of Caroline Street. At breakfast time, they serve everything from traditional breakfast to build your own omelets to pancakes and creamed chipped beef. They use real butter, jumbo eggs, and Hormel bacon and are known for their homemade fries and grits! Pepe’s Cafe in Key West also serves homemade granola, lots of fresh fruit, and homemade sweet breads. Sip fresh-squeezed orange juice, a cup of Chock Ful O’Nuts Coffee, or even a screwdriver.

This seafood restaurant is off the beaten path, but is well worth the voyage! A local favorite, this restaurant is known for its fresh catch of the day. If they aren’t serving it, they didn’t catch it that morning! Located in Stock Island just outside of Key West, it’s just a five minute drive from The Inn at Key West!
